Possible Broad Band Problems
I have experienced a number of problems over the past few months trying to view both my and other peoples video's. While trying to find out why, I have become aware of the following points, which are basics but not obvious if you are not aware of them. I hope the following will help you.
| Problem. | What I was told. | What I found out. | |||
| 1. | While watching a video it kept stopping while it down loaded/buffered more of the file. | I was told by my Broad Band supplier that I was getting a good line speed and thet there should be no problem. | What was not mentioned was that the speed, to watch the video, was dependant on both a good line speed and a computer that could handle the task/data. | ||
| 2. | My line speed varies through the day. | This is dependant on the number of people who are "on line" at a particular time of day. | The Broad Band infrastructure usually becomes busy/overloaded as a normal woking day begins and early/mid evening when everyone checks their e-mails etc. this slows down the system. |
Check your own line speed/computer efficiency now.
